I wanted a laptop with 2 partitions running windows on one and linux on
the other.
---------------------------
METHOD:
---------------------------
1. Boot into windows.
2. Download ubuntu 9.10 LIVE-CD iso file (or FedoraCore 12 iso if you prefer).
3. Download unetbootin-windows-393.exe.
4. Insert usb stick and backup any data.
5. Run unetbootin-windows-393.exe, point to iso file, and click OK.
6. Restart and go into bios (F2) to switch boot order (usb-stick before HD).
7. Restart with usb stick.
8. Once ubuntu (or FC12) has started click on "Install from desktop".

Note ... you may need to run gparted in ubuntu from an xterm
if you already did a previous install, or to clean
away any cruft.
Note ... the wireless card driver on the T135D was a bit tricky
to find. Eventually the right bug-thread helped here.
